Heiligenblut is a well known village at the feet of Mount Großglockner, Austria's highest mountain, at a height of 1.300m. The hostel is located next to the village's famous church. It offers 94 beds in spacious and comfortable multibedded rooms, most of them equipped with shower and toilett. Two large common rooms with sunbathing balcony, family corners, satellite TV and an internet-terminal are available for the guests. A bike shelter in summer and a heated room for skis and ski shoes are provided. The rich breakfast buffet is included in the rates and three course lunches and dinners are offered on demand, like big or small lunch-packs to go. The National Park Service offers assistance in planning your trip into the mountains. Climbing, hiking, experiencing nature in an enchanting alpine mountain region are just some of the appealing activities from spring to autumn, but 'Winter is coming...'. Guarded by the mighty peak of Großglockner, the snow covered houses cuddle around the slender tower of the famous gothic pilgrimage church. The perfect slopes invite for hours and hours of skiing and nice rests in traditional lodges. Heiligenblut is the place to be in summer and in winter.
